Privacy Policy

This policy describes the limited data Brunswick Residents Directory receives and the choices available to visitors. The service is a private reference to records routes in Brunswick and Medina County. It does not require an account and does not host a government resident roll or a personal profile database.

Information You Provide

A name, phone number, or address entered in a search form is sent to the outside provider that powers that result flow. Our servers do not retain a copy of those submitted search terms. If you contact us, we receive the contents of your message and use them to respond.

Automatically Collected Data

Like most hosted services, the host may create standard server logs containing an IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps. We review aggregate activity for maintenance and page-use patterns. Cookies or comparable technology may support basic analytics and, where used, advertising measurement.

How We Use Information

Limited information is used to run and improve the service, diagnose problems, measure traffic, and answer messages. We do not sell visitor lists or create individual visitor profiles from searches.

External Services

Links lead to county and state portals, library collections, archives, and sponsored search tools. Those organizations control their own privacy practices, terms, availability, and any data supplied to them. Their policies, rather than this policy, govern an external search or records request.

Who Can Receive Data

Hosting and support providers may process standard server logs for us. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. We disclose information when valid legal process requires disclosure and otherwise do not share it beyond these operational purposes.

Data Security

The service uses an encrypted connection and retains logs only for the operational purposes described here. There are no visitor accounts, passwords, or personal profiles maintained by Brunswick Residents Directory.

Visitors Under 18

The service is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. Contact us if you believe a minor has submitted information, and we will remove what we control.

Your Information Choices

You may ask to access, correct, or delete personal information that we hold by using the Contact page. Ohio has no general consumer deletion or universal data-broker opt-out right identified in the research: Ohio's Data Protection Act, R.C. Chapter 1354, is a cybersecurity-program affirmative-defense law, not a general deletion statute. We will search the contact mailbox and available logs and remove information within our control where appropriate.

Government-held public records are different. Ohio Public Records Act, Ohio Revised Code ยง149.43, governs access to records held by Ohio public offices, subject to exemptions and redactions. The Safe at Home program, R.C. 111.41-111.47, and specific redaction laws may protect qualifying people, but an ordinary request to remove an accurate Recorder, Auditor, court, or library record is not guaranteed. Direct a public-record correction or redaction request to the actual custodian.

Policy Updates

We may change this policy by posting an updated version here. Continued use after a posted change indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
