Why This Reference Exists
A modern Brunswick household is not listed in one official book. The Medina County Auditor connects parcels and tax records, the Medina County Recorder indexes land instruments, Ohio's voter system has separate access rules, and the Virginia Wheeler Martin Family History & Learning Center holds historical material. Before Brunswick became a city in 1960, research often belongs under Brunswick Township. Bringing the verified office names, access paths, collection years, and limits together makes it easier to start with the actual custodian.
What Is Included
- Research paths: the street directory for address-keyed material, the city directory for historical collections, and the resident lookup for a single-name verification path.
- Official sources: Medina County Auditor Property Search, the Medina County Recorder AVA public land-record search, court routes, the City records office, and library holdings.
- Historical context: county directories, Dickman's criss-cross volumes, owner atlases, newspapers, and the Brunswick Township search identity.
- Access limits: Ohio Public Records Act, Ohio Revised Code ยง149.43, plus exemptions, redaction rules, and the correct request channels when a record is not online.
What We Cannot Do
Brunswick Residents Directory is privately operated and has no connection with Brunswick, Medina County, the State of Ohio, the Recorder, the Auditor, any court, or the library. Several limits follow:
- We cannot confirm a person's current residence in Brunswick.
- We cannot obtain, certify, revise, or remove a record for anyone.
- We cannot add or remove a name from an official roll or database.
- We do not give legal advice about a record, a dispute, or a records request.
- We cannot guarantee that a custodian's portal, hours, fees, or holdings have not changed.
Only the office that holds an original record can confirm, certify, or correct it. This reference is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and its information may not be used for FCRA-regulated decisions.
